Cassiopeia

“Cassiopeia” places a lone astronaut against the curve of the Earth, untethered and adrift in the darkness above it. Suspended between the familiar world below and the immeasurable unknown, the astronaut becomes a symbol of both human vulnerability and human curiosity.

The title refers to Cassiopeia A, the remnant of a supernova whose explosion scattered the elements that later form new stars, planets and, eventually, life. Made of that same stardust, the astronaut hovers at the threshold between home and origin. Small against the scale of the universe yet still reaching outward, it speaks to our persistent impulse to explore, and to the curiosity that carries humanity to the very edge of the known.
